As you have probably already heard, next year SUPER GT's top tier will be undergoing a raft of changes to make it more like DTM. This includes simplified aero, but unlike DTM the Japanese have gone and downsized their engines. Like BTCC/WTCC, they will use 2.0 Turbo engines next year. Unlike Touring Cars, however, they will be producing 550PS (542bhp) and be supplemented by a 50PS (49bhp) KERS as well. We've seen the GT-R and NSX running, but the previously fault Lexus has now taken to Fuji Speedway for a shakedown.
It sounds a lot more intense than a touring car, with EVEN MORE TURBO POPPING. No bad thing.
Oh, and if you haven't heard the other two, then here they are!

I'm going to miss the V8, but maybe we'll see some of the development/homog tech on the engines filter down to production sports cars.

Anti-lag makes everything better. Also, I'm I the only one surpiced to see how well Lexus' design language works on the LF? Doesn't look GREAT, but still is a million times better looking then the IS.
